I thought it would be a good idea to let people know who I am and what this blog is actually about.

I grew up in Sprague, a small town in Nebraska with my mom, dad, and older brother. I loved living out in the country (it was the country part compared to Lincoln anyway) and the ease of life that came with it. I think one of the things that made living outside city limits was not having much internet access to pass the time. A lot of people will look at me and ask if I've ever used a cord phone. I was born in 1997 so that's the only phone I knew of for awhile. Anyway, growing up without a lot of technology left things up to our imagination so we played a lot of make believe games and we built a TON of legos.

My parents made the decision to send my brother and I to Parkview Christian School where both of us started and finished our primary years of schooling. When I was eight years old, we moved into Lincoln, Nebraska to be closer to family, my mom's work, and my dad's business. We started going to Lincoln Berean Church where my parents became the directors of the four-year-old room for about nine years.

Throughout middle school and high school I did a lot of sports. All of them, to be more accurate. I played volleyball, basketball, ran track, and even cheered. My school was very small in size (I graduated with a class of nine students) so it gave us the opportunity to participate in every sport and almost every extra curricular.

In May 2015, I graduated from high school in the top three of my class with eight others students that had become like a family to me. Then fall came around and I enrolled in Southeast Community College where I worked towards my Associate's Degree. While going to college, I worked at The Home Depot where I started as a cashier. In the second semester of my first year, I decided that I needed to find a place where I could learn about God and build my relationship with Him since it wasn't built into my schedule like it was in high school. This led me to Lincoln Berean's college group, Campus Impact. This is where I became a small group leader to some amazing women who decided to go on the God journey with me and it was the best.

Fast forward to today. I graduated from SCC in 2018 with my Associate's in Business with a focus on entrepreneurship. I still work at The Home Depot and I'm currently deciding on a fourth year with the Campus Impact group. I am also dating my best friend Joshua Buresh who I have known for four years. We just celebrated one year of dating and it has been an absolute blessing!

This is all just a tiny snippet of my story and who I am. There are a lot of highs and lows between each one of these lines written above. This isn't my way of hiding who I am and hiding my low points in my life.
